South Park has always managed to push the boundaries even in their earlier seasons, and when they want to highlight something truly ridiculous, they usually stick Randy in the middle of it all. As such, Randy finds himself in many tricky and unbelievable situations more often than not.

Randy has gotten into various types of trouble over the years because of his nature to gravitate towards the latest trend and put his entire heart into it. It's Randy's naivety and undeserved self-confidence that make most of these plotlines so great.

10 Sarcastaball Sweeps The Nation

The boys from South Park playing Sarcastaball

Randy completely comes up with the concepts and rules for Sarcastaball on the fly when sarcastically telling the school that this is what the kids should be playing because it's safer than football. While Randy is joking, the entire town takes him seriously and he ends up as the South Park Cows Sarcastaball Head Coach.

Eventually, the NFL adapts the new game in lieu of football, and Randy is promoted to Head Coach of the Denver Broncos. At this point, Randy is actually excited because he wins his first game as a professional coach. However, by the end, the NFL goes back to playing football, but mostly because of Butters' gross intervention in Sarcastaball.

9 Legalized Medical Marijuana For Randy's Testicular Cancer

Randy trying to give himself cancer

While cancer is no laughing matter, the reason for why and the manner in which Randy gets cancer is pretty funny. A new marijuana dispensary opens in South Park and Randy tries to buy some, only to be told he needs a medicinal card. Randy hatches a scheme to get a mild amount of cancer so that he can get a prescription for weed.

He ends up getting testicular cancer because he runs the microwave with the door open, facing directly at his crotch area. Eventually, he even convinces the other guys in town to get testicular cancer so they can smoke weed.

8 Randy Was In A Boy Band

Randy in his teen years in a boy band

Randy forbids Stan from being in a boy band with his friends because he himself was in a boy band. Randy had everything he could have ever wanted and it was all ripped away from him in an instant. He had women, money, cars, and a luxurious mansion; then the next boy band was all the craze and he was no better than yesterday's garbage.

After losing his riches, he was forced to come home to South Park where he was a laughing stock for some time. He didn't want Stan to go through the same thing. However, by the end of the episode, Randy changes his mind and even joins Stan's boy band after an elevator accidentally kills Kenny.

7 Randy Franchises A Blockbuster

Randy Marsh frozen in the snow

One of South Park's Halloween specials included the boys dressing as the incredibly topical Avengers, and Randy investing in an outdated Blockbuster video store. He ends up forcing his family to work with him at the store on Halloween and becomes increasingly more creepy, mirroring scenes from the classic horror film The Shining.

There are even sequences where Randy is walking through the aisles in the same manner as Jack Nicholson's character, and even has some of the same facial expressions, indicating Randy's slow descent into madness from making such a poor investment. The episode ends with Randy burning the video store to the ground for the insurance, and then getting McDonald's.

6 The Classic Margaritaville Episode

When the economy crashes, the people of South Park end up going back to an old way of dressing and living, mostly because of a council's suggestion that just so happens to be spearheaded by Randy. Randy takes South Park back to the days of Jesus, and Kyle plays the role of the town's savior, with Cartman obviously acting as his Judas.

Eventually, Kyle pays off the debt of the entire town and things go back to normal. However, Randy still buys superfluous goods, having learned nothing from the experience.

5 Randy Fights Little League Dads

Batdad tries to walk away from Randy Marsh in South Park

When South Park's little league baseball team goes to the championship game, the boys want nothing more than to lose, because winning means they are forced to play baseball all summer. Randy views each game as an opportunity to trash talk the other team and fight other dads; it always escalates the moment Randy takes his shirt off.

He was always confident until he came across Batdad in the championship game. Eventually, Randy overcomes his fears and goes round for round with Batdad until he knocks him out. Randy wins the imaginary fighting championship which results in South Park's team forfeiting, thus saving the boys' summer.

4 Randy Is Lorde, Ya Ya Ya

Television Randy from South Park as Lorde

It's unknown why the creative team went this direction, but when Randy is revealed to be the singer Lorde, it had fans dying of laughter. At first, he keeps it a secret, quite skillfully, but eventually lets his wife and son in on it. When Stan finds out, he literally faints from shock.

The most hilarious part is that Randy still keeps his mustache even when in his Lorde garb. Randy also makes pretty bad music that ends up being altered and changed into hits via the music software on his computer. Perhaps this is poking fun at Lorde or even at all musicians that don't use real instruments.

3 World Record For Largest #2

Randy about to produce the largest no. 2 ever

When Randy passes a meal from P.F. Changs, he believes he has laid the largest #2 in the history of #2s. He ends up winning the world record for a brief period only to be outdone by Bono. However, things begin to unravel and it's revealed that Bono is actually a #2 that was nursed to life by one of the record-keeping officials.

It was Bono's life mission to be number one at everything because, in reality, he was just a number two. Eventually, after the truth comes out, Randy does reclaim the world record by producing the largest #2 ever made, estimated to be over 100 courics.

2 Crème Fraîche

When Randy develops a liking for cooking shows he, of course, takes it a step too far. It's great that he wants to cook and try new things and give his family a bit of culture, but he always leaves a mess in the kitchen afterward. Additionally, when he watches cooking shows, he tends to get aroused which, needless to say, becomes a problem.

It gets to a point where Sharon has to parental block the food channels. However, this prompts Randy to call a naughty cooking phone service where saying "Crème Fraîche" grants the caller more time. He also ends up as the chef at Stan's school for a brief period and even engages in a cooking showdown with a few celebrity chefs.

1 Broadway Bro Down

Elton John & Stephen Sondheim at Hooters in South Park

When Randy is told by a coworker that he received a special treat from his wife after taking her to a Broadway show in Denver, he immediately does the same and gets the same treatment. However, he learns from a stranger at the bar that the songs are what motivates wives and girlfriends to do those things for their significant others.

This spurs Randy to become a Broadway show writer and he begins developing his own show so that the men of South Park can luck out all the time. Eventually, Randy has to come clean to his wife when he learns their daughter has gone to a Broadway show with her boyfriend. Luckily, Randy keeps her from doing anything, but unfortunately floods the theatre while wearing a Spider-Man costume, killing the poor boy in the process.
