It only takes watching a few episodes of South Park to pick up on the fact that pretty much every character on the show is ridiculous. While some are certainly more rational than others, every character is capable of going off the rails at any given moment. But few of those characters are more out of control than Randy Marsh, the man who turned his son's little league games into a reboot of Rocky.

As is often the case for kids in America, the boys of South Park found themselves playing baseball over summer. While their families were excited about watching them on the field, the boys were nowhere near as excited. They were miserable and were praying for the end of the season. Unfortunately, they kept winning and ended up making it into the postseason. The further they went, the more of their summer they lost to the sport they hated.

They eventually stumbled on a plan to intentionally lose so that they would be knocked out of competition and could go back to playing video games. Unfortunately, the boys quickly discovered that every other little league team also hated baseball and had the exact same plan. The only person that seemed to be invested in the sport was Stan's father Randy, but not for the reason you might expect.

At every little league game, no matter the sport, there always seems to be a couple of parents who want to get into a fight. At every single one of Stan's baseball games, Randy got drunk and started a fight with a dad from one of the opposing teams. This inevitably ended with Randy being taken to jail while screaming nonsense about freedom and America. Surprisingly, Randy managed to win he won every fight and caused a huge scene.

As the South Park team moved up the rankings, Randy had to fight tougher and tougher dads. Naturally, he had to start training to stay on top of the situation. This included Rocky-esque moments of eating eggs, except he scrambled the eggs and had a beer instead of eating them raw like Rocky. He also wore the same training gear as Rocky did. But that's where the comparisons came to an end.

Unlike Rocky, Randy wasn't fighting for a title, but rather for his own drunken ego.  Sharon kept asking him why he couldn't just stop fighting, but that just wasn't an option for Randy, who had tied his entire identity to being the toughest, drunkest dad at every game. Of course, there's always someone tougher, and this situation was no exception. He ran up against Batdad: a bigger, more belligerent drunk than even him.

Randy was initially scared and stayed home from the game. In the end, he went and had way too much to drink, then antagonized Batdad until they started to fight. Batdad had him dead to rights and took him out. But when the boys found out that they would be ejected from the league if Randy kept fighting, they egged him on. Randy started singing the theme song from Rocky, which helped him make a quick comeback. As he beat up Batdad, his pants slowly fell down.

The whole thing was openly taking a shot at parents who take little league games so seriously that they end up fighting other parents for no reason. As usual, South Park found a way to point out the ridiculousness of a situation in a poignant fashion while making fans laugh. Also, Randy Marsh is, and always will be, a complete idiot.
