Sotheby’s Hong Kong is holding an online auction with the largest collection of anime and manga memorabilia. The auction begins on May 5 and lasts until May 11. There will also be an in-person auction at Sotheby's Hong Kong gallery, which goes from April 29 to May 8.

Among the anime featured in the auction are Pokémon, Astro Boy, Mobile Suit Gundam and Dragon Ball Z.

"The auction presents 60 unique drawings and original Animation Celluloid Pictures (cel-ga) featuring some of the most beloved characters from popular animation series including Pokémon, Dragon Ball, Gundam, and Totoro. These unique drawings and cel-ga were produced by some of the most prestigious animation houses, such as Studio Ghibli and Toei Animation," a press release from Sotheby's read.

The cels offered include an Astro Boy cel by Mushi Production, a Dragon Ball Z cel by Toei Animation, and a My Neighbor Totoro cell from Studio Ghibli.

In addition to the 60 works slated for the online auction, there will also be an additional 95 pieces presented in a selling exhibition at Sotheby’s Hong Kong Gallery. Altogether, over 150 collectibles will go on sale.

Sotheby's is no stranger to selling large comics collections. It's Books & Manuscripts department recently auctioned off a massive DC comics collection spanning decades and worth millions of dollars.
