Though Colton Haynes recently appeared on the "Arrow" set, that doesn't mean his character Roy Harper's Season 5 return is around the corner. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Wendy Mericle revealed that Haynes isn't set to return -- but that doesn't mean he won't show up in future episodes.

"We would have Roy back in a heartbeat," she shared, explaining that he is not "currently" returning to the show. "If the right circumstances come up and the right storyline presents itself, absolutely." However, it appears as though his return isn't as imminent as Echo Kellum's behind-the-scenes photos have led some to believe.

Haynes played Roy Harper/Arsenal, a recurring character on "Arrow" in Seasons 2 and 3, before departing the show in 2015. Haynes has since been cast as a regular on FOX's "Scream Queens."

Haynes revealed earlier this year that he left the series to focus on his physical and mental health, which declined when tabloids outed him as gay. The "Teen Wolf" star said back in May, "It was a complete shock. I wasn't ready to be back in the headlines...I should have made a comment or a statement, but I just wasn't ready. I didn't feel like I owed anyone anything. I think in due time, everyone has to make those decisions when they're ready, and I wasn't yet. But I felt like I was letting people down by not coming forward with the rest of what I should have said."

Starring Stephen Amell, Emily Bett-Rickards and David Ramsey, "Arrow" will return to The CW on Wednesday, October 5 at 8 pm EST.
