With Venom 2 still hoping to meet its October 2 release date in the midst of coronavirus COVID-19 delays, it looks like the film's marketing campaign is starting early, with a new report suggesting the first teaser trailer could arrive online soon.On Twitter, VFX artist Amit Chaudhari claims Venom 2 has been sent to "various Sony International markets under the 'Localization process.'" This process is where the trailer is mixed and dubbed for different countries ahead of its mainstream release. When pressed on when fans can realistically expect to see the trailer, Chaudhari said it should be within the next 10-15 days, barring any unforeseen cirumstances.

Little is known about the plot of Venom 2. However, we do know it will feature not only the debut of Naomie Harris as the villainous Shriek but the return of Woody Harrelson's Cletus Kasady, aka Carnage.

It's also been reported that Tom Holland was in talks to appear as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the sequel, and while this hasn't been confirmed, another report claiming Kasady also appears in Morbius could indicate Sony's setting the stage for the Venom 2 teaser to give fans a shock on par with the reveal of Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes.
