Ahead of the weekend's big game, Sony Pictures has released a 30-second teaser for its Super Bowl XLVIII commercial for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." The collection of clips from director Marc Webb's sequel features Electro (Jaime Foxx) taunting the webslinger (Andrew Garfield).

While many of the moments in the fast-paced teaser have been seen in previous trailers and commercials, there are a few new scenes, most notably the shot of Spidey grabbing a hurtling-to-her-doom Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) before the pair crashes through a glass-paned roof. As for what that means for the character's big-screen fate, Stone's comments on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" earlier this week may hint toward a tragic outcome, similar to the character's famous comic death at the hands of the Green Goblin. "I think the intention the whole time has been to tell Gwen's story has closely to the comic as possible," she said, while also telling listeners they'll need to see the movie before they know what ultimately happens.

Opening May 2, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti.
