Peter Rabbit will return in his second big-screen adventure earlier than expected, as Sony Pictures shifts the release date of Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway up by a month.

Instead of debuting on June 11, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway will now hop into theaters on May 14. The first film, Peter Rabbit, opened in 2018 and went on to take in $351M worldwide. The franchise is based on the characters and tales of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter.

This is one of several changes made to the release date of the Peter Rabbit sequel. Its original April 2020 date was pushed to Aug. 7 due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Sony later made several changes to its release calendar, including moving Peter Rabbit 2 off its April 2 date for June 11, which is when Sony planned to release Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

In PETER RABBIT 2: THE RUNAWAY, the lovable rogue is back. Bea, Thomas, and the rabbits have created a makeshift family, but despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation. Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated, but when his family risks everything to come looking for him, Peter must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.

Directed by Will Gluck, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway stars James Corden, Margot Robbie, Domhnall Gleeson, Rose Byrne, Aimee Horne, Colin Moody, Elizabeth Debicki and David Oyelowo. The film arrives in theaters May 14.
