Late last year, Paramount released a shadowy teaser poster released for its upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which raised eyebrows and became the subject of countless jokes across the internet.Now a few new photos from the Sonic the Hedgehog film's style guide have found their way online, thanks to Polygon and a now-deleted post from the ad agency Hamagami / Carroll, Inc., and the offer an interesting glimpse of a slightly more realistic, CGI Sonic.RELATED: Aladdin: This Genie/Sonic the Hedgehog Mashup Is Pure Nightmare Fuel

While the design has dropped Sonic's big eyes and more traditionally cartoony features, he now has fur all over his body. Additionally, Sonic's mouth and abdomen have been covered in fur, and most strangely,  Sonic's gloves have also been replaced by white fur.

The Sonic fan Twitter account @TailsChannel, also posted what appears to be another CGI render of the film's Sonic. In addition to showing the fur covering his entire body, this strange image also indicates that Sonic could wear Nike-brand tennis shows, possizz

But wait there's more; only moments ago, what is said to be an actual CGI render of the character's appearance in the film was leaked, looking even stranger than the 2D design. Additionally, it appears as though Sonic's shoes are Nikes, implying that the company paid for the product placement—which possibly makes the shoes from the Cortez line.

In a repeat of the response to the first poster for Sonic the Hedgehog, fans have not, on the who, responded well to either of these new images, with many commenters making their opinions abundantly clear.

Set for release on Nov. 8, 2019, Sonic the Hedgehog stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, with James Marsden, Neal McDonald, Tika Sumpter, Adam Pally and Natasha Rothwell.
