I'm doing something sort of new on another site. Yes, I easily betray the fine folk at this here blog!
So Jake of Ye Olde Comick Booke Blogge also works for Atomic Comics here in the Basin of the Sun. He's been working on putting their blog together, and he asked me to contribute a weekly column. I have to believe it's because he knows me personally and not because, you know, I'm any good. We were thinking about what to do, and we decided to do what I do with the back issues I find, but subject a random new comic to the same scrutiny. Someone suggested I do this a while back, so here it is!
Every week I'll link to the column but not tell you which book I'm reviewing. I'm just evil that way. I will, however, give you a clue: I will quote a portion of dialogue or narration from the book and let you try to figure it out. I can have some fun with this, right?
The inaugural one is a bit goofy, as I picked a book none of you (including me) have ever had the guts to buy, but you've always been curious about it! But does it work if it's the first comic you have ever bought? Ah, that's the rub, ain't it? Here's the sample of writing from the book:
"It is very refreshing to be in the company of those who worship you for being the goddess you are."
