Some Comic Book History Links for Saturday

Here are a few notable links for you comic book history fans out there.

1. Les Daniels passed away two weeks ago. Daniels was perhaps the very first serious comic book historian, and we comic book history buffs are all worse off for his passing.

Click here to read his obituary at the New York Times.

2. Mick Anglo, as well, passed away on Halloween. He was 95 years old.

Pádraig Ó Méalóid wrote up a fascinating and exhaustive look at Anglo's life over at the Forbidden International blog. You can check it out here.

3. Finally, while every issue of Alter Ego is worth picking up, this month's issue is even MORE worth it because I'm cited in it a couple of times. It is an amazingly extensive look at the history of the Comics Code by Richard Arndt. We're talking over FIFTY pages of awesome information. Well worth a purchase.
