The two biggest scoundrels in a galaxy far, far away raise the stakes in a new TV spot for Solo: A Star Wars Story.
In the promo, parts of which have been seen in the trailers, Alden Ehrenreich's Han Solo faces Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian in a high-stakes game of Sabacc.
"This seat open?" Han asks as joins the fast-paced game, directly across the table from his future friend and ally. As the two partners in crime bond over gambling, Lando reveals he gained the Millennium Falcon from a card gam, foreshadowing Han's own ownership of the fastest ship in the galaxy.
"You better quit while you're ahead," grins Glover's cool-as-ice Lando as chips change hands. "You better quit while you're behind," quips Ehrenreich's cocky Han, not missing a beat.
Exploring the origins of smuggler and future Rebel hero Han Solo between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Solo is projected to outperform Rogue One's opening weekend and become the biggest Memorial Day weekend premiere of all time.
Directed by Ron Howard from a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra, and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. They are joined by Thandie Newton as Val, Phoebe Waller-Bridge L3-37, Paul Bettany as Dryden Vos, and Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett. The film opens May 25.
