Solo: A Star Wars Story co-producer Rob Bredow recently pushed fans to campaign for a sequel to the 2018 spinoff.

Bredow encouraged fans to lobby Lucasfilm for a Solo follow-up film in an interview with ComicBook.com. "I love [that people want a sequel]. Bring it. That's what we want to hear. I had so much fun on Solo," he said. "And well, we have a number of people who worked on that show here [at the Willow premiere] today. Jon Kasdan, Ron Howard. All of us love that world, love that team. I think it's happened before, right? The fans have brought things back, so I think it really is up to the fans what we do next."

Solo co-writer Lawrence Kasdan was also present for Bredow's interview and added that a sequel was still a possibility. Kasdan has previously expressed interest in developing a new adventure headlined by Alden Ehrenreich's younger incarnation of Han Solo, while also noting that Lucasfilm currently has no plans for a second Solo movie or Disney+ show. "No, there's not any of that," Kasdan said. "But, I do talk to Jon and Ron a lot about what went right and what went wrong with the Solo experience. I would be more interested in doing another movie, not a TV series."

Will Star Wars Spinoff Solo Land a Sequel?

Kasdan's fellow Solo scribe (and son) Jon is also eager to tell a new tale starring the Star Wars saga's most beloved scoundrel, saying as much in a recent interview. Making the case for a Solo sequel, the younger Kasdan cited the wealth of new characters the 2018 spinoff introduced, as well as Ehrenreich's confidence in the lead role. "I guess the strongest argument for a Solo 2 is that the movie was Alden's journey to owning that mantle," he said. "And by the end of it, I thought he really did, and he didn't get the fun of getting to just inhabit it for a movie. So, I'd love to see him back."

Jon Kasdan also remains confident that the story started in Solo will get finished someday, even if Lucasfilm never green-lights a sequel. The screenwriter suggested in a recent interview that Disney+ Star Wars shows such as The Mandalorian could pick up Solo's unresolved plot threads, describing that show's creator Jon Favreau as "a big fan" of the 2018 spinoff.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently streaming on Disney+.
