<i>Social Network</i>'s Eisenberg Gets <i>Free</i> In New Project

With talk of his Oscar prospects currently filling the internet airwaves, The Social Network's Jesse Eisenberg is doing exactly what everyone expected with his next project: Taking a small supporting role in a quirky indie comedy. Wait, what?

The Wrap reports that Eisenberg, whose portrayal of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg may have been one of the standout performances of the year, will play a supporting character opposite The Event's Jason Ritter and Teeth lead Jess Weixler in Free Samples, about a law school drop-out who takes a job in a friend's food cart. He'll play Weixler's love interest, while she tries to figure out what to do with her life. Admittedly, it doesn't sound very promising, but I'm sure he'll do it very, very well.

(Aaron Sorkin, please write this man another role soon so he doesn't have to do this again.)
