WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Snowpiercer Season 1, Episode 5, "Justice Never Boarded."

When it comes to the Tail, Snowpiercer leaves that section of Mr. Wilford's Great Ark Train to their own devices. They have to fend for fending for themselves, languishing in squalor with barely any resources.

This means allies are few and far between to come by, with rare partners like Astrid in the Food Section connecting with the Tail in hopes of revolution and social equality. However, the latest episode gives the Tailies the ultimate ally in the form of a secret rebel with some authority.

This is none other than Till (Mickey Sumner), a security guard who worked with Layton (Daveed Diggs) to solve the murder-mystery. While she's cold and all about business, she did show empathy with Layton, accepting that while they're not friends, she can respect him as a colleague. She admires his detective work and feels like he's due a reward, not realizing Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) placed Layton in the Drawers for figuring out her ruse as Wilford.

And this is Till's biggest flaw because she's ignorant and expects people to show their true selves at face value. In that sense, she's a bit naive as she didn't know her partner, Oz, was peddling drugs to the lower cars for sexual favors. It's why she reluctantly takes him back under her wing because she believes in order and justice. However, she also believes in free will, which is something most of the poor people are robbed of as they're shunted to the back.

This sees her actually moving in with Jinju (Susan Park), who takes responsibility for Till in Second Class as people frown on their lesbian relationship. It's a domestic partnership which Till thinks can't be going any better; that is until danger comes calling in the form of Josie. As LJ's placed on trial for the murders, Till and Oz realize someone broke into the Drawers and find Josie trying to rescue a drugged-up Layton. Till's stunned as she thought he went back to the Tail, but Oz is already on top of Josie, beating her down.

At this point, Till shows her allegiance and it's loyalty to someone who tried to ensure there'd be no more killings on the Ark. She knocks Oz out cold with a baton, leaving fans wondering if the blood from his head means he's dead. Till escalates things more when she helps Josie tote Layton to the Night Car. Both are pissed LJ got off the murder charge, but Layton's the priority as they leave him with Zarah, his ex, so she can revive him from the sedation.

Josie has to hurry to the Tail to let them know Melanie's placing their kids on ice rather than make them apprentices, while Till has to return to keep the illusion up she belongs to the upper classes. This is a huge ally for Josie to gain because Till on ground zero could transfer sensitive info to her as Josie has a chip that grants her all-access. In fact, Till can even work with Astrid to expand the spy network which the Tail wanted to do for years now, away from the watchful eye of Melanie and Wilford's double agents. It's obvious that Till will be reluctant to officially switch sides but Jinju's also angry how Melanie freed LJ, so this civil war could see Till gleaning secrets from her lover as she's Melanie's confidante. One big hurdle, though, will be who took Oz's body because this could out Till before she truly helps change the status quo.
