TNT's Snowpiercer Series Adds Girl Meets World Star

Get ready for Girl Meets End of the World: Rowan Blanchard, star of Disney’s Girl Meets World, has been cast in a “mysterious” role for TNT’s upcoming Snowpiercer television series.

Blanchard has been brought on as a guest star for Season 1, with an option to be upgraded to a series regular if Snowpiercer sees a second season, according to Deadline. The actor will play Alexandra, described as “a self-assured 17-year-old, wise beyond her years, with mysterious connections” to the titular train.

TNT’s Snowpiercer finds the last of humanity living inside an enormous, perpetually-moving train, specifically engineered to handle the frozen, post-apocalyptic wasteland outside and allow humanity to survive.

The series is based on the 2013 South Korean film of the same name from filmmaker Bong Joon-Ho, starring Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Go Ah-sung, John Hurt and Ed Harris. The film was, in turn, an adaptation of the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, first published in 1982.
