Martin Klebba, who plays the pirate Marty in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, is playing Grumpy in the new live-action Snow White film.

The actor appeared in a promotional video, seen via Comic Book, from Denver's Fan Expo, where he candidly revealed his Snow White role. Grumpy is one of the famed seven dwarfs, named for his overall grouchy demeanor. In addition to all four Pirates of the Caribbean films, Klebba appeared in Men in Black II and has fielded roles on TV shows such as Scrubs, CSI and The Cape.

This won't be Klebba's first time acting in a Snow White film either. In 2001, he acted in a TV movie spinoff of the classic tale called Snow White: The Fairest of Them All, where he played a dwarf named "Blue."

Snow White wrapped filming earlier this Spring, according to an Instagram story from actor Gal Gadot, who is playing the Evil Queen. In April, Gadot shared a photo of herself and some crew members on the film, writing "Last day on Snow White with the best team ever!!! #EVILQUEEN."

Gadot also said that shooting Snow White was a dream come true. "I love it," she said. "It's fun, I get to do something different. I get to sing and I get to dance and I get to play the villain, which is something that I've never done before."

Hollywood newcomer Rachel Zegler, who played Maria in Steven Spielberg's 2021 remake of West Side Story, is playing Snow White in the new film. But her path proved a little rocky. The Latina actress explained that when it was announced that she was set to star in the new film, she was on the receiving end of some racist backlash. "You don't particularly see people who look like me or are me playing roles like that," she said. "When it was announced, it was a huge thing that was trending on Twitter for days, because all of the people were angry."

When it comes down to it, though, Zegler is just excited to play the iconic role. "At the end of the day," she said, "I have a job to do that I'm really excited to do. I get to be a Latina princess."

Snow White is directed by The Amazing Spider-Man's Marc Webb, with a script from Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressinda Wilson. The film does not yet have an official release date.
