Blade: Trinity star Wesley Snipes has finally put some of rumors about the film to rest.

In an interview with Vice, Snipes was asked if there was any truth to the rumor that he took a method acting approach to Blade: Trinity and constantly stayed in character while on set. “False. You gotta look at the source of information,” he replied.

The interviewer explained that the information had come from Snipes’ Trinity co-star Patton Oswalt, to which Snipes replied, “Once again, I’ll say to you, sir, look at the source of information. I didn’t know Patton Oswalt was a method actor. Would he know the difference?”

Snipes was then asked if it was true that he spent the entire duration of the film’s production in his trailer, to which he simply answered, “False.”

Finally, Snipes was asked if he actually communicated with the film’s director David S. Goyer via Post-It notes signed “from Blade.” This is the first rumor Snipes actually gave some merit to, saying, “That may have happened. I wouldn’t say it was frequent. Because our whole crew was banished to another side of the island of production. The only way we could sometimes get messages, since we didn’t have the radio, was to get it there by courier or pigeon sometimes.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Snipes explained that -- in spite of Blade: Trinity’s infamously troubled production -- he doesn’t hold any sort of grudge towards anyone involved. Rather, he prefers to look back on the positive impact the first two films had.

“It’s a wonderful thing where you can look back and say, ‘hey, at the end of the day we still did something great.’ Great people, great talent, great future,” Snipes shared. “We laid the foundation for something bigger than we even imagined. That being said, we were the products of those that laid the foundation for us. So, ‘hakuna matata.'”
