Wesley Snipes is still keen to reprise his role as Blade -- or any character from Marvel's colossal library, really.

After first playing the titular role in 1998's Blade, Snipes has reaffirmed his wishes to take on the role of the vampire hunter once more. "I am very much open to all of the possibilities. If Blade 4 comes along, that is a conversation we can have," the actor told The Hollywood Reporter.

While he is up to reprise his role as Blade, he's also open to playing another Marvel character. "There are other characters in the Marvel universe that, if they want to invite me to play around with, I am with that too," Snipes revealed. "I think the fans have a hunger for me to revision the Blade character, so that could limit where they could place me as another character in that universe."

Back in 2015, Snipes revealed his desire to return as Blade and join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “There’s always a possibility, you know. It’s in Marvel’s hands. They’re controlling the pace and the flow with that. Conversations have been good. They see the value in it. We see the value in it,” Snipes said previously. “I’m still in shape enough and fit enough to handle the role. We’ll see how it goes. I don’t really know what’s going to happen to it yet.”

Completed as a trilogy in 2004, the Blade franchise included creative contributions from comic adaptation heavyweights like David S. Goyer and Guillermo Del Toro. The character also appeared in a one-season TV run in 2006. Directed by Ryan Coogler from a script he wrote with Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther -- the next MCU film -- stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa and opens on February 16.
