The Netflix premiere of “A Series of Unfortunate Events” is still a couple of months away, but it’s never too early to get everyone excited. Today, Daniel Handler - or Lemony Snicket, as he’s known by most - gave us a look at two characters from the upcoming adaptation.Below, you’ll find the images for Justice Strauss (played by Joan Cusack) and Dr. Georgina Orwell (Catherine O’Hara). Also teased in the tweet from Handler was the fact that we'll be getting our first trailer for the TV show later this week. For those unaware, Strauss is Count Olaf’s neighbor and debuts in the first book, “The Bad Beginning." While many characters in the books aren’t kind to the children, Strauss immediately earns their affection by letting them use her library to learn how to cook a certain dish. Dr. Orwell, on the other hand, is on the "not so kind" side of characters. An optometrist, her debut in the fourth book, “The Miserable Mill," shows that she is clearly on Olaf’s side when it comes to his plans for the children. She even goes so far as to hypnotize the children at one point in the book. Funny enough, O’Hara originally played Justice Strauss in the 2004 film version of “A Series of Unfortunate Events," so there seems to be a small nod in the casting.

“A Series of Unfortunate Events” Season 1 will debut January 13, 2017 on Netflix.
