Hasbro's Snake Eyes Film Casts GI Joe's Scarlett

Snake Eyes GI Joe Movie

As the upcoming G.I. Joe spinoff film Snake Eyes prepares to begin principal photography, the production has found its Scarlett.

Samara Weaving has signed onto the Hasbro/Paramount project as the G.I. Joe team's fan-favorite commando. The character is a counter-intelligence operative -- usually seen with red hair, befitting her codename -- partnered with Snake Eyes as the first female character on the team. The role was previously portrayed by Rachel Nichols in 2009's G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.
