The first photos from the upcoming Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins have been released.

The exclusive photos shared by Entertainment Weekly offer a first look at the cast of the G.I. Joe solo film, with Crazy Rish Asians star Henry Golding as the titular character, Snake Eyes. The photos showcase Golding on set, including one photo where the actor is brandishing Snake Eyes' sword Morning Light, as well as Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Samara Weaving as Scarlett and Ursula Corbero as The Baroness.

Written by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse and serving as a reboot to the G.I. Joe film franchise, Snake Eyes will follow the life of the ninja commando, including his time as part of the Arashikage clan as well as his rivalry with Storm Shadow. Snake Eyes' true name and identity have been kept under a mask for years, but his solo film, which will draw heavily from Japanese cinema, will finally reveal the popular character's real name and backstory.

The film began reshoots in March 2021 with coronavirus (COVID-19) precautions in place. Originally meant to premiere in Oct. 2021 after Paramount shifted its release schedule due to the ongoing pandemic, Snake Eyes will arrive in theaters this July.

Directed by Robert Schwentke, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness and Samara Weaving as Scarlett. The film arrives in theaters on July 23.
