Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins has debuted a slew of character posters, featuring the likes of Andrew Koji's Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó's Baroness, Samara Weaving's Scarlett and, of course, the man of the hour himself, Henry Golding's Snake Eyes. What's more, Scarlett's poster in particular features a long-forgotten symbol from G.I. Joe's live-action past.

The character posters for Snake Eyes, Akiko (Haruka Abe), Blind Master (Peter Mensah), Hard Master (Iko Uwais) and Storm Shadow all feature the classic symbol of the Arashikage Clan in the background. Meanwhile, the posters for Baroness and Kenta (Takehiro Hira) feature the iconic Cobra symbol. Finally, Scarlett's poster brings back the eagle-themed G.I. Joe symbol that was used to promote the franchise's first live-action film, 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, which received a sequel in the form of 2013's G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Motion versions of the Snake Eyes character posters can be found on YouTube.

Snake Eyes is a reboot of the live-action G.I. Joe film franchise that tackles the origin story of the eponymous ninja commando, played by Golding. Golding replaces actor/stuntman Ray Park (of Star Wars fame), who played Snake Eyes in both The Rise of Cobra and Retaliation. Weaving, Koji, Corberó, Uwais and Mensah are also all newcomers to the franchise, with Scarlett, Storm Shadow, Baroness, Hard Master and Blind Master having previously been played by Rachel Nichols, Byung-hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Gerald Okamura and RZA, respectively.

Per an official synopsis for Snake Eyes,

An ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage welcomes tenacious loner Snake Eyes after he saves the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach him the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing him something he's been longing for: a home. However, when secrets from Snake Eyes' past are revealed, his honor and allegiance get tested -- even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.
