Smurfette Flirts With Darkness in Smurfs 2 Theatrical Trailer

Smurfette has always been a pretty big deal. As the only adult female Smurf around, she held her own with the little blue boys pretty well, but in the theatrical trailer for The Smurfs 2 she' has a whole new set of problems to deal with -- namely Gargamel's Naughties.

In an effort to create his own Smurfs, the bumbling wizard screwed up and created the grayish beings who don't quite live up to Smurf standards. Once he discovers that Smurfette holds the key to make the full transition from Naughty to Smurf, a plan unfolds to turn our heroine into a villainess. Of course, the Smurfs won't take this lying down and return to our world to get their comrade back with the help of some familiar human faces.

Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Sofia Vergara and Hank Azaria feature in live action roles joined by voice actors Katy Perry, Christina Ricci, Anton Yelchin, Alan Cumming, Fred Armisan and a Smurfing army of others. The Smurfs 2 hits theaters on July 31.
