MOBA title SMITE will have a pretty cool throwback for all the 80s kids, as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be making their way into the game as part of the game's upcoming November Battle Pass. TMNT is the latest crossover with SMITE, following the addition of Avatar: The Last Airbender characters as playable skins.

SMITE has been around for a while, and it sure doesn't look like it'll be slowing down any time soon. With that in mind, here are five other franchises that we would love to see appear in SMITE.

Geralt from The Witcher

The-Witcher-3-Fiend

The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia is the ultimate monster slayer, so it would only be fitting for the centuries-old warrior to walk among the gods. Whether you follow Netflix, the novels or the video game lore, Geralt comes stacked with a plethora of powers, weapons and deadly moves. His silver swords are equally adept at dispensing justice to mortals and gods alike, and with his hardened bones and resistance to poison and disease, he should be a formidable foe.

Through years of training, Geralt has also acquired the ability to regenerate health at an accelerated speed, making him even harder to put down. With that said, Gerald's adopted daughter Ciri would also make for a rather interesting SMITE character. She might have lost some of her magical spells, but she still possesses the ability to travel through space and time. She's also very proficient with one sword, which she wields expertly through exceptional combat abilities.

Street Fighter

There is a saying that you don’t bring a knife to a gunfight, but sometimes brute force and incredible strength are needed – even if it's to take on some of the strongest gods in mythology. The Street Fighter characters might not have the magical powers or spells that other gods have, but Blanka, Cammy or even M. Bison will be well suited to take to the front lines as melee bruisers.

Cammy would be perfect for SMITE, as she has expert martial arts and military training and possesses a small amount of Bison’s Psycho Power. Blanka would make for an excellent ambush character in the jungles, as his green color was obtained from ingesting copious amounts of chlorophyll from plants to blend into his native Brazilian jungle environment. He's the Street Fighter equivalent of The Predator, which would make taking the sidelines a dangerous endeavor.

Guardians of the Galaxy

10 Marvel Characters Who Could Get Disney+ Shows

The space-hopping superhero team from Guardians of the Galaxy would marvel at the opportunity to take on gods. Groot would be perfectly capable of taking on the Roman character of Sylvanus, while Rocket Raccoon could go toe-to-toe with the Norse character Ratatoskr. Like Sylvanus, Groot has the ability to control trees and plants, and he’s also fire-resistant. Star-Lord is perfect for close-quarters combat, and Gamora has enhanced speed, strength, agility and durability, giving her potential to still be the deadliest woman in the universe.

In SMITE, Drax the Destroyer would serve as a tank as he possesses superhuman strength, stamina, and resistance to physical injury. To blast other gods backward, Drax utilizes cosmic energy that shoots out of his hands. Yondu would be a serious concern for any mythical god or creature, as he can detect their presence without any problems. He also possesses the ability to heal his own inner strength through meditation while expertly wielding a bow and arrow as his main weapon - but definitely not to the detriment of his hand-to-hand combat skills.

The Matrix

The Matrix 4 Neo Source

The Matrix franchise might not seem like an obvious choice for a game like SMITE, but Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity have a unique ability to deal with old-timers like Hades, Zeus, and Artemis. Firmly in the grip of the 21st century, technology should be no match for gods who lived thousands of years ago.

Neo carries the Matrix’s "Prime Program" source code with him, which allows him to manipulate the simulated reality. He also uses telekinesis to move objects around, and through this, can fly at super speeds. While the likes of Trinity and Morpheus may not be as powerful as Neo, they also tap into The Matrix and bring martial arts, computer hacking and various weapon mastery to the table.

80s Horror characters

While not from a single franchise, it would be amazing to see the beloved icons of '80s horror films included in SMITE every year around Halloween. Whether it’s a god or a mortal, the sight of Michael Myers, Leatherface or Freddy Krueger coming down the lane would be enough for players to second-guess their moves.

Imagine the demented Chucky as a jungler, followed by Jason Voorhees wielding a giant machete. Pinhead from the Hellraiser franchise would also make for an excellent SMITE character, as would Ash Williams from the original Evil Dead films. With a sawn-off shotgun in one hand and a chainsaw attached to the other, being on the wrong side of Williams is guaranteed to spell doom.
