Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans could describe the last Sakurai's Presents as simple and clean, as one final, highly requested character brings the game's DLC a close. With a roster of 89 characters, it is hard to find fault with Sora's inclusion. Kingdom Hearts is a beloved series, and with the rights to the character held behind the golden gates of Disney, acquiring him must have been a challenge. The Keyblade wielder will make his debut on October 18.

However, Sora isn't the only new character joining the game. While not fully playable in the same way, there are three new Mii Fighter costumes that will release at the same time. The new outfits represent two very different (but popular) franchises, and even if these characters aren't joining the roster, it's still nice to see them included in some way.

Octoling (Wig)

Octoling from Splatoon is making an appearance as a wig for the Mii Fighters. Their inclusion is likely in part due to the upcoming Splatoon 3, and it's nice to see the Inkling's counterpart represented in the game. The Octolings first appeared in the original Splatoon as antagonists. They later because playable characters in Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion. Octolings are set to return as playable characters in Splatoon 3, so hopefully, this nod to the series can tide fans over until then. This wig in particular references the first game's Octolings with their menacing googles.

Judd (Hat)

Another Splatoon representative, Judd is one of the felines that appears throughout the series and on Inkling's Smash Ultimate stage, Moray Towers. He now joins the game as a hat for Mii Fighters, allowing Judd fans to show their unwavering support for the character on the battlefield. The cap has a lot of detail, from the pattern of Judd's fur to the coloration of his ears and mouth. Comparing them side-by-side, they are nearly identical. As shown in the new reveal trailer for Sora, players can combine this hat with a feline body to get Mii Brawlers dressed for a catfight.

Doom Slayer

A Mii In The Doom Guy Costume Attacks Mario In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Finally, Doom Slayer (also referred to by fans as Doomguy) makes his Smash Bros. debut as an outfit for the Mii Gunner. Though many fans were hoping the iconic protagonist of the game that created the first-person shooter genre would be a playable fighter in his own right, it's nice to see that Nintendo isn't leaving him out entirely.

Compared to other Mii costumes in the game, Doom Slayer's armor looks particularly good on the Mii Gunner. This also means Bethesda now has three Mii Fighter costumes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with the other two being Skyrim's Dragonborn and Fallout's Vault Boy.
