SMALLVILLE

AOL has an interview with James Marsters, who talks about playing Professor Milton Fine (and what he wasn't willing to do). "I said, 'I'm not going to be green and wear a pink jumpsuit.' He is a robot with a maniacal smile, which always freaked me out. That is not a normal robot. He gets what he wants -- complete intention. He has a plan to get rid of all humans who are destroying this beautiful planet. It has gone beyond pest control. They are ruining the atmosphere and the topsoil."

In other news, Kryptonsite is reporting that "Playing 'Samantha' in the upcoming Smallville episode 'Fanatic' is Annie Burgstede."

UNDERDOG

According to Cinescape, "Randy Edelman ... returns on the spotlight with a new Walt Disney feature, 'UNDERDOG,' based on the popular TV cartoon of the 60s."

X-MEN 3

Veteran character actor Bill Duke talked to the LA Daily News about what to expect in the next mutant minded movie. "I think you're going to find a lot of levels to this movie," Duke said. "Brett brings a certain amount of detail, and he's really committed to telling a story. Also, he takes a great deal of time with the actors and their performance. Like Kelsey Grammer - he's wonderful. He has to wear this costume that weighs at least 15 to 20 pounds" to play the blue-furred Beast. I don't think you're going to see any Frasier up in there!"

HELLBOY

Superhero Hype has a press release stating that "IDT Entertainment announced ... that it has licensed all animation rights to the 'Hellboy' property from Revolution Studios ... All key creative talent and production entities associated with Hellboy, the successful 2004 live action feature film, will be involved in the continuing animated adventures of the Hellboy character. Ron Perlman (Hellboy) and Selma Blair (Liz Sherman), who headlined the feature film, will lead the voice cast for the animated versions. 'Hellboy' creator Mike Mignola and director Guillermo Del Toro ('Hellboy,' 'The Devil's Backbone') are creative producers and will be intimately involved in story development and animation style."

SUPERMAN RETURNS

The Edmonton Sun has some quotes from actor Frank Langella about being Perry White. "With Bryan's blessing, my Perry White will be very different than the previous ones," said Langella. "I couldn't play a small man who barks out orders while he's chomping on his cigar. It's physically wrong for me. I play Perry as the strong, quiet type."

BATMAN BEGINS
