WGA STRIKE WATCH: DAY NINETY-THREE

The LA Times is reporting that The West Coast board of the Writers Guild of America has reacted favorably to the outlines of a pending agreement reached between guild negotiators and Hollywood studios. This leaked out to all the major news outlets before 11PM last night, which somehow already started talking about when new shows would air, and even going as far as getting optimistic about the Oscars going on as they normally would. Even strike insider Nikki Finke has positive indications.

Does that mean the strike is over? Not in any remote way, and until the language of the final contract is set in something resembling stone, it's still pickets aplenty as the WGA meets this weekend at LA's Shrine Auditorium to talk it out.
