WGA STRIKE WATCH: DAY NINETY-THREE
The LA Times is reporting that The West Coast board of the Writers Guild of America has reacted favorably to the outlines of a pending agreement reached between guild negotiators and Hollywood studios. This leaked out to all the major news outlets before 11PM last night, which somehow already started talking about when new shows would air, and even going as far as getting optimistic about the Oscars going on as they normally would. Even strike insider Nikki Finke has positive indications.
Does that mean the strike is over? Not in any remote way, and until the language of the final contract is set in something resembling stone, it's still pickets aplenty as the WGA meets this weekend at LA's Shrine Auditorium to talk it out.
What did WGA president Patrick Verrone have to say last Friday? See for yourself ...
Ask Lenny Kravitz -- it ain't over 'til it's over.

The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web's rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we've got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, happy 73rd birthday to Rev. Mitchell Curry and [tagline redacted until the WGA strike is resolved].
