SMALLVILLEPeople Magazine takes a look inside the mind of Lex Luthor, actor Michael Rosenbaum, who doesn't do spoilers but reveals some of the motivations behind his character. "This has been a whole journey of Lex becoming the ultimate villain in comic-book history: His mother dies, his brother Julian dies and he's got this evil dad. To watch him grow up trying to do the right thing all the time, it's like, 'He deserves to kick some ass right now!' There's nothing like telling someone off or having someone killed. On the show, of course."

NEON GENESIS EVANGELION

According to Sci Fi Wire, Richard Taylor, best known for the work his Weta workshop did on "Lord of the Rings," is anxious to get a shot at adapting the anime series. "I've just been to Japan pursuing this," Taylor said. "I think that is the great untold story to the world. It is sublime. It is arguably some of the most beautiful and poignant animation ever created, and a huge percentage of the pop culture world now know it, but only through a live-action feature film will it transcend that and receive the recognition for the art piece that it is.

HELLBOY 2

Director Guillermo del Toro talked to Empire Online about plans for returning to the BPRD. "It's going really good," said del Toro, who's completed a script. "It's about the fairy world and the mythical creatures all rebelling against humanity and saying it's the end of mankind and it's the season for the sons of the Earth. And basically Hellboy has to try to repress or suppress that rebellion." The director said that creator Mike Mignola and the studio suits have the script now, and are looking at budget numbers.

X-MEN 3

We were able to find a cached article from the Halifax Daily News about 18-year-old actress Ellen Page working as Kitty Pryde. "There's moments where it really hits me," said Page. "I'll be in a bizarre suit and look over; there's Halle and Hugh and it hits me. 'Wow, I can't believe that I ended up here. Who would've thought?'" They even include the text from Kitty's OHOTMU entry, via those great kids at MarvelDirectory.com, which is a nice touch.

SUPERMAN RETURNS

High definition QuickTime version of the trailer? no problem, you're welcome. Lost the link for the original one? Don't worry, gotcha covered. Oh, and if you were wondering, the film used Jands dimmers (so did "Ghost Rider," but that's not enough for a whole news item, is it?).

BLADE

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Nelson Lee has joined the cast of Spike TV's drama pilot as the Daywalker's weaponer.

FANTASTIC FOUR

That deleted Reed-to-Logan scene is back at Superhero Report, this time with more screen captures and dialogue.

THAT'S A WRAP, JOE

Here's where you get in on the action. Did you see a link we didn't catch? Have you snuck into a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is, we wanna know it all -- fire off an email and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is novelist/reviewer/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and [tagline sent back to development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
