MTV Splash Page and Don Cheadle have a good laugh about the possibility of Thor or the Hulk appearing as a cameo in the film:

Starring Robert Downey Jr., release date: 2011

Sci Fi Wire spoke with director Jonathon Mostow about the film and its origins as a graphic novel. “I just immediately responded to the concept. There’s just something incredibly resonant about the idea. It’s almost a metaphor for the way we’re living our lives right now. It’s a story that asks the question ‘How do you stay human in this relentlessly, increasingly technological world we live in?'” says Mostow.

Starring Bruce Willis, release date: September 25th, 2009

In case you missed it, CBR reports the film has been picked up for US distribution by Lionsgate. The official press release describes the film: “‘Kick-Ass’ tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There¹s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers.” Lionsgate is no stranger to comic book based properties. They also distributed/produced “Punisher: War Zone” and Frank Miller’s “The Spirit.” The film is on track for a 2010 release.

Release date: 2010

Heroesite has a couple of clips from the upcoming fourth season. Here is one featuring Ray Park as a super-speedy knife wielder:

An oddly slow day for movie news. But just like hurricane season, it could just be the waters bracing for the next big change in the currents. If you discover something awesome, disheartening, who will play Captain American, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours!
