SMALLVILLE

Kryptonsite has fresh spoilers for the fifth season's third episode, entitled "Hidden."

BLADE

Sci Fi Wire has am article for a new hour-long series featuring the fearsome vampire slayer aimed at Spike TV. "We're doing a 'Blade' TV show," creator David Goyer said. "I'm co-writing the pilot with [comic writer] Geoff Johns, and it's going to be Spike's first dramatic show, and it's going to air next June. It'll be Blade, but it's different than the movies, that's all I can say." Goyer also said he'd taken a meeting for a sequel to "Batman Begins." "I'm the co-show runner [on 'Threshold'], so I go back and forth. I was there for about three hours today, then I was working on 'The Flash,' [then] we had a little 'Batman' meeting. I multitask."

V FOR VENDETTA

Ain't It Cool News caught actress Natalie Portman for an interview. "The hero is a hero in many ways," Portman said, "but is deeply flawed and homicidal in other ways and I think that complication really makes you think about a lot of ways we define violence. I think that's really positive and interesting in a world where we're constantly creating categories for what is good violence and what is bad violence. The truth is that all violence is horrible and whether it's good or not, obviously, has to do with your perspective and it's very, very subjective."

NICK FURY

According to Sneak Peek, movie star Bruce Willis is in talks to play the eyepatched title role.

ALIEN 5Cinescape has a scooper report saying that the path to another chest-bursting sequel is becoming clearer. "Went in on an casting call for CBS's 'NUMB3RS' this week, and to my surprise, Ridley Scott -- exec. producer - was there. I got to shake the man's hand after my read (he wasn't involved in casting -- not these small parts anyway) and asked him about an online rumor about an 'Alien 5.' So here's the deal, straight from the horse's mouth. 'I'd love to -- and we're talking,' he said. I asked him would it star the originals and he said Sigourney's on-board, and he hopes Lance Henriksen might be interested too. But bottom line 'Too early to even speculate ... we haven't even finished the script yet.'"

WONDER WOMAN

Lynda Carter told Sci Fi Wire that she'd love to make a cameo appearance in Joss Whedon's pending adaptation. There is actually this thing on the Internet, like a sign-up campaign, that says, 'We want Lynda in Wonder Woman,'" Carter said. "It's very cute, very sweet. I think it would be great. I'd love to do it. I just hope that the concept is one that's really about the characters themselves. And I hope they cast [Diana/Wonder Woman] as someone who's got a real heart. If they can do the movie with a heart, no matter what they do, they'll be OK. It would depend on the role. I don't think I would be interested in doing something gratuitous, just to do it, just to say, 'Oh there's Lynda Carter.' But if there was a role in which I could kind of tie up loose ends, that would be cool."
