Two SLG Publishing creators, Tommy Kovac and Greg Weisman, are special guests of Comic-Con International this year and will have special spotlight panels at the convention, as will SLG itself, which is celebrating its twentieth anniversary.
Tommy Kovac, creator of the comics Stitch, Skelebunnies and Autumn, will talk about those and his work writing the Disney-licensed comic Wonderland at his panel, taking place on Thursday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. in room nine. He will also make an exciting new announcement about a new comic book he is collaborating on with Malaysian artist Leong Wan Kok.
Greg Weisman, creator of the Gargoyles animated series and writer of SLG's Disney-license Gargoyles comic book, will discuss his in the animation field and his new role as a comic book writer. His panel will take place immediately after Tommy Kovac's, on Thursday, July 20 at 2:15 p.m. in room nine.
SLG Publishing's Twentieth Anniversary panel will be on Friday, July 21 at 6:00 p.m. in room four. SLG's founder, president, publisher and supreme commander will reminisce and lament about his twenty years in the comic book industry--years marked by misspent youth, wasted time, and lost money. Vado will also give you glimpse of the future for SLG and answer audience questions.
