Skyfall Earning Big Worldwide

American audiences will have to wait another week and a half to see Skyfall, but that’s not the case for the rest of the world, where Variety reports the 23rd James Bond film has already grossed an estimated $96.6 million in the United Kingdom, France and Russia.

That figure breaks down to about $39.3 million in the U.K., $12.8 million in France and $9.2 million in Russia. The film broke the Monday box office record previously held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2 by making $6.8 million to start the week off.

The actual budget hasn’t been revealed yet, but is estimated at around the $200,000 million mark, which means the film’s already made back about half its money.

Directed by Sam Mendes, Skyfall finds MI-6 under as one of M’s enemies comes back at her with a vengeance. Bond’s job is to track the culprits down and obliterate them. It opens Nov. 9 in the United States.
