January 9 marks the one-day Image Expo 2014 and Robert Kirkman's Skybound imprint has released a promotional teaser that indicates a new direction for "Invincible" is on the way. The image, posted by the Skybound Twitter, features the outline of a character -- likely Invincible -- in a clear homage to the series' Image Comics debut issue in 2003, and the words "1st Issue In a Bold New Direction!" The series' first cover -- originally by Cory Walker -- was re-imagined by Ryan Ottley for "Invincible" #75. It's currently unknown whether the image is an indication of a new #1 for the series, or merely the start of a new story arc.
