Swedish developer Gaming Corps has announced it's working with Skybound Entertainment on a video game tie-in to the Robert Kirkman produced sci-fi thriller "Air."

Director Christian Cantamessa told Polygon that the episodic game won't be an adaptation of the film, but rather an adventure-mystery set in the same universe.

Set for release sometime this year, "Air" stars Norman Reedus ("The Walking Dead") and Djimon Hounsou ("Guardians of the Galaxy") as custodial workers in an underground facility that houses cryogenically frozen people intended to re-establish society after a nuclear fallout renders the atmosphere unbreathable.

The downloadable game, which will be released on Steam, tablets and possibly consoles, will focus on the inhabitants of another bunker. No voice cast has been announced, nor any details revealed about the plot or gameplay.

Telltale Games has met with much success with its episodic tie-in to Kirkman's "The Walking Dead," which has sold 8.5 million copies since its debut in 2012.
