A new teaser visual has been released for Season 1 of the Skeleton Knight In Another World anime.Released on Skeleton Knight's official website and Twitter, the image shows main characters Ariane, Arc, Ponta and Chiyome all together in front of what appears to be a stand selling strange artifacts. The tweet accompanying the image reads, "A brief moment on the road. The end of the encounter with Chiyome." This visual foreshadows that Arc and his friends will once again be joining forces with Chiyome, a formidable ninja girl and member of the Jinshin clan. Based on a series of online light novels by Ennki Hakari, Skeleton Knight In Another World tells the story of a boy who falls asleep in the middle of playing a video game and wakes up to discover that he has been magically transported into that game's universe. On top of that, he is transformed into an enormous armored skeleton, his custom avatar within the game. The show follows his adventures as he tries to survive, protect his friends and adapt to his new life.

The Skeleton Knight in Another World anime is being directed by Katsumi Ono, who is also known for his directorial work on Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V. The animation is a collaborative effort between Studio KAI, which helped produce part of Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle, and "HORNETS," which has been involved in the production of works such as Your Lie in April and Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie. The scripts for Skeleton Knight In Another World are being supervised by Takeshi Kikuchi.

Along with an anime adaptation, Skeleton Knight in Another World has also been adapted as a manga by the artist Akira Sawano. The license for both the light novel and manga were purchased by Seven Seas Entertainment. There are currently nine volumes of the light novel available in English and eight volumes of the manga available in English.

As of now, eight episodes of Skeleton Knight have aired, and the series can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Muse Asia. There will be a total of 12 episodes, with the final one set to air on June 23, 2022.
