Star Wars: Skeleton Crew -- the upcoming Jude Law-led Disney+ series set in the galaxy far, far away -- has officially wrapped production.

Per Deadline, Skeleton Crew stunt coordinator George Cottle confirmed that filming on the Star Wars series had wrapped with a video posted to Instagram. "That's a Wrap on Skeleton Crew!!" Cottle wrote in the caption. "Once again I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the most amazing stunt performers I have ever worked with!! I fell so lucky to work with you all! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication! So so excited for this one!" While Cottle's post has since been deleted, Juliana Potter similarly celebrated the moment with an Instagram Stories post. "That's a wrap!" Potter wrote, sharing a crew photo and a photo of behind-the-scenes Skeleton Crew apparel.

Skeleton Crew Wrap

Lucasfilm officially announced Star Wars: Skeleton Crew in May 2022, with production on the Disney+ series kicking off the following July. Starring Jude Law, Skeleton Crew is set in the same timeframe as Disney+'s debut Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, and its spinoff limited series, The Book of Boba Fett. Written by Christopher Ford and directed by Spider-Man: No Way Home helmer Jon Watts, the new series is expected to premiere sometime this year -- presumably later in the year, if production has only just wrapped.

Star Wars Has a Big 2023 Ahead of It

Moreover, the third season of The Mandalorian is itself slated to premiere on Disney+ in just over a month's time on March 1. Ahsoka, another spinoff of The Mandalorian, is also expected to premiere on the service sometime this year. In the meantime, the second season of the animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch is currently underway on Disney+. In other words, the streaming platform certainly has a stacked her ahead of it in terms of new Star Wars content.

While set in the same era as shows like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka (i.e. about five years after the events of 1983's Return of the Jedi), it's currently unclear if Skeleton Crew will directly connect to any of Disney+'s other Star Wars shows. According to Watts, the series centers on "a group of kids who are about ten years old who get lost in the Star Wars universe." Despite this, however, the director stressed that Skeleton Crew is "not a kids' show."

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is slated to arrive on Disney+ in 2023, though the series does not currently have a specific premiere date.
