Even if Ethan Hawke is out of the picture, the Sinister train will keep on rolling.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that Blumhouse Productions and Entertainment One are officially moving forward with a Sinister sequel, written by the men behind the 2012 original, Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill.

The big news is that the sequel now has a director: Ciaran Foy, who made his feature debut directing Citadel, about an agoraphobic father who must protect his daughter from monstrous creatures.

In Sinister, Hawke starred as true-crime writer Ellison Oswalt, who discovers horrific home videos in his attic that put he and his family in danger. The story continues in Sinister 2, with production expected to begin in July.
