Chipping away at doubt about his involvement with X-Men: Apocalypse, filmmaker Bryan Singer today teased the first page of the script by Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty, Dan Harris and himself.

Kinberg co-wrote X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past, while Dougherty and Harris collaborated with Singer on X2 and Superman Returns.

As the photo reveals, the script opens on the Fourth Horsemen, introduced in the post-credits scene of Days of Future Past, at the Nile in what appears to be the aftermath of a battle.

Although there's been no official word that Singer will direct Apocalypse following an April lawsuit that accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting a teen in 1999, Fox President of Production Emma Watts said last week that, "Right now we are totally at the outlining phase. But nothing would make me happier than if it all worked out. It's always been the intention for him to do it."

X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled to arrive May 27, 2016.
