EA has finally given The Sims 4 players something they wanted: werewolves. The new Werewolves Game Pack holds quite a bit of content, most of which is, of course, werewolf and occult related. Simmers can finally create werewolf Sims and turn friends and family to grow their pack. There are, however, others already one with the full moon, and their alter egos who may impart wisdom on newly turned pups. These werewolves are part of packs, which player Sims may join, provided they are werewolves themselves and meet a few other requirements.

The Sims 4: Werewolves is a Game Pack that Simmers have been anticipating since The Sims Team's announcement of this summer's Light's Out theme. The pack is a fairly big one, including tons of new werewolf interactions, objects, clothing, a new neighborhood, and a new occult life state. There is also some great new lore related to the occults and the neighborhood itself. This includes the werewolf packs which players can join.

Moonwood Mill's Two Werewolf Packs

The Wildfangs and Moonwood Collective in The Sims 4

There are two packs Sims can join: the Wildfangs and the Moonwood Collective. The Wildfangs believe in completely embracing their bestial side, Fury and all. The Moonwood Collective on the other hand, believes that werewolves can rise above their animalistic side by taming their Fury and fitting in with the rest of society. These values reflect what's expected of pack members once they join, so be sure to choose which aligns with the intended playstyle. Their values also make one pack a little harder to join than the other.

Each pack has their own leader and lair. The leader of the Moonwood Collective, Kristopher Volkov, is the easiest to find, as he lives with his family in the only occupied residential lot in the new neighborhood, Moonwood Mill. He can often be found here or milling around in the town's community lots. The leader of the Wildfangs, Rory Oaklow, is almost exclusively found near the pack's lair just north of The Grimtooth Bar & Bunker. If they aren't there, they are likely running around somewhere in the area, as they never seem to stay in one place too long, making them tough to meet.

Joining a Werewolf Pack

Each pack has the same requirements for joining: befriend the leader and undergo three trials. Players will need to find one of the pack leaders first. The pack leaders cannot be socialized if they are Rampaging due to Fury, so avoid trying to visit during a full moon. Also, because the Wildfangs values embracing Fury, Rory rampages fairly often, making it harder to join the Wildfangs. Once friendship is high enough with one of the leaders, Sims can ask to become a "friend of the pack," which means they're in good standing. From here, Sims can begin to undertake trials to become a full member.

How to Complete the Trials & Join a Pack

Werewolves sparring in The Sims 4

There are six different trials werewolf Sims can choose from, but only three need to be completed. These can be selected when interacting with a pack leader so long as the Sim has the right werewolf ability or other requirements to carry out the task. The trials are werewolf spar, discuss lunar epiphany, demonstrate scavenging, demonstrate pack howl, give excellent quality food, and give an uncommon or rare collectable. The werewolf-specific trials require the Sim to be able to transform at will, which is unlocked by not terrifying anybody during a rampage. Trials cannot be failed.

Werewolf spar is the easiest to complete, as it just requires sparring with the leader. Discussing lunar epiphany requires unlocking a dormant trait by simply reading a werewolf book. Demonstrate scavenging and demonstrate pack howl require spending points on those specific werewolf traits. Give excellent quality food can be done by having a good cooking skill, and giving an uncommon or rare collectable requires seeking one out or having a werewolf who's particularly good at scavenging. Once three of these are complete, the werewolf sim will be a full-fledged member of the pack and get access to the new lair rabbit hole.
