A preview of The Simpsons Season 30 premiere reveals Homer taking a potshot at DC Extended Universe, with Gal Gadot in the room.

In the Sept. 30 episode, "Bart’s Not Dead," Bart is injured following a dare gone wrong. To cover for himself -- and Homer, who’s apparently involved with the dare -- Bart crafts a story in which he technically died for a moment and went to heaven. Christian film producers become interested in adapting the story, and soon Homer and Ned Flanders are busy casting actors to play the Simpsons. Among those auditioning is Wonder Woman and Justice League star Gal Gadot, who wants to portray Lisa.

“I know you were great in Fast and Furious,” Homer tells Gadot, “but what else have you been in?” She asks if he's seen Wonder Woman, to which Homer replies, “Whenever I see the DC logo, I immediately fall asleep.”

The dig comes at a transitional time for Warner Bros.' DC films as the studio moves away from divisive fare like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, and toward the likes of Aquaman, Shazam!, Joker and the upcoming sequel to Wonder Woman, the only certified hit among the initial wave of features.

The Simpsons returns Sunday, Sept. 30, on Fox for its 30th season with “Bart’s Not Dead," which also guest stars Dave Attell, Jonathan Groff and Pete Holmes.
