No one is sure what's going on with Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek movie -- not even the people who may be in it.
While conducting an interview with MovieFone about the movie Terminal that he'll be in, Simon Pegg said that he was currently unaware of what's going on with the Jackie Brown director's foray into the Final Frontier. "I just know Quentin came in with an idea and I'm excited to see what fruit that bears," Pegg said. "He's a devoted Star Trek fan and an incredibly gifted filmmaker, so I can't think of anything more exciting than him having a crack at it."
The reason he hasn't been told about anything is so the cast members won't be badgered about the film, and he openly admits to knowing as much about the project as the general public does. "They protect us from ourselves."
Tarantino's Star Trek is one of two movies currently in production, the other being the fourth film in J.J. Abrams' franchise. That film recently landed a director by way of SJ Clarkson, which Pegg himself confirmed earlier in the week. Neither film currently has an expected release date or full production time in the works.
