Simon Pegg Lets Slip Daniel Craig's Cameo in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

Given all the excitement for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," it's easy to imagine director J.J. Abrams received a lot of calls from notable actors seeking to play even a minor role in the film -- even if it's just as Background Rodian #3. But while Simon Pegg and Daniel Craig had been rumored to have cameos, the former dismissed that possibility more than a year ago.

And the latter? It seems the James Bond actor does play a part in "The Force Awakens," although we likely won't see his face on screen.

According to The Independent, Pegg let that tidbit slip at the London premiere of "Man Up." Asked about his rumored role in the new "Star Wars" film, Pegg told The Sun,"I wasn't a stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a stormtrooper." He then quickly added, "I shouldn't have said that.”

Perhaps we can look forward to a "Find Daniel Craig" featurette on the eventual Blu-ray release. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens Dec. 18.
