Sienkiewicz, along with X-Men comics legend Chris Claremont, created David Haller/Legion in the '80s for their New Mutants comic series. The son of Professor Charles Xavier, the character (portrayed by Dan Stevens on the hit TV series) is a schizophrenic with the ability to channel the powers of his various personalities.

Legion co-creator Noah Hawley previously told CBR that Sienkiewicz's unique visualization of Legion was a "goal to reach" for the series. "I think it’s a goal to reach," Hawley said. "If you start there with a character, he becomes a lot less relatable, sort of right off the bat. I needed you to root for Dan and to empathize with Dan, and to feel like he’s an everyman on some level, and it could be you. So you need to pull people into the show in order to sort of work toward something that’s that heightened."

Airing Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX, Legion stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Bill Irwin, Amber Midthunder, Jeremie Harris, Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Hamish Linklater and Navid Negahban.
