Shudder has provided CBR with an exclusive clip from one of the April 16 episodes of Cursed Films, which centers on the 1994 cult classic The Crow.

The clip features The Crow's special makeup effects artist Lance Anderson discussing working with Brandon Lee, the star of the film who died during production. He then shows off a copy of the original script, as well as a collection of continuity photos.

Based on the James O'Barr comic book of the same name, The Crow starred Lee as protagonist Eric Draven, a murdered musician who's resurrected to avenge the rape and death of his fiancée. While filming a stunt, Lee was accidentally shot by a faulty round of blank ammunition and died during surgery. As such, the production crew utilized script rewrites, a stunt double and visual effects to complete the remaining eight days of filming.

The official synopsis for Episode 4 of Cursed Films is below:

Years after Bruce Lee’s mysterious death is attributed to the “Lee Family Curse,” his son Brandon’s life was cut short due to a tragic on-set accident during the making of The Crow.

Created by Jay Cheel, new episodes of Cursed Films are available to stream Thursdays on Shudder.
