Coinciding with its Television Critics Association presentation, Showtime has poured a damn fine cup of coffee as a teaser for its eagerly anticipated revival of "Twin Peaks." Agent Cooper would be pleased.
A close inspection of the image reveals the familiar road to Twin Peaks reflected in the dark surface. The accompanying text reads, "Shooting starts in September. The donut truck is loaded late August. A coffee cup will indeed come through a window."
That, somewhat cryptically, confirms Showtime's announcement that creators David Lynch and Mark Frost will begin production next month, with the cable channel hoping -- but not necessarily pushing -- for a 2016 premiere.
