Chances are, if you're a fan of '80s and '90s animation, Roger Corman movies or TV on DVD, you've got a few Shout Factory discs in your collection. The entertainment company tends to go the extra mile gathering as many extras and creating as many special features as possible -- all of which is a very good sign for fans of Saban's stable of characters.
Variety reports that Shout Factory and Saban Brands have signed a deal that will cover several of the properties Saban produced in the '90s and into the '00s. The biggest, both episode and name-wise is, of course, Power Rangers. The deal covers everything from 1993 to 2009, although not the currently running Power Rangers Samurai. More short-lived properties, like Beetleborgs, VR Troopers and the live-action-of-sorts Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, will also get the Shout treatment.
The DVDs will begin hitting shelves this summer with addition titles later in the year and even further digital releases to be announced. Currently, the entire Power Rangers franchise can be viewed on Netflix Instant, but this might mean the other shows will be viewable soon as well!
