"Sherlock Holmes 3" is beginning to move forward again in the development process, now that a new screenwriter has been assigned to the project.

According to Deadline, James Coyne has been hired by Warner Bros. to write the new script. Originally "Iron Man 3" scribe Drew Pearce was supposed to write the "Sherlock Holmes 3" draft, but Coyne will now take over the project.

While "Sherlock Holmes 3" still doesn't have a release date. Warner Bros. is confident the film will be moving forward with Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, and Guy Ritchie all returning.

Both "Sherlock Holmes" and "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" grossed over $500,000 at the global box office.
