Hey True Believers! My name is Eric and I wanted to share my collection. I've been collecting for nearly 20 years now.

My collection began with my fondness for Spider-Man in the 4th grade. I found myself (like so many) able to easily relate to the man under the mask. What I have always found most admirable in Peter Parker is his enthusiastic attitude and ability to overcome whatever his "Parker luck" throws his way. It was not until high school that I began collecting in earnest. This is the time of my life that I accumulated most of my collectibles with the prints, statues, and other odds and ends (oh the good ol days of little fiscal responsibility). Collecting Spider-Man comics lead me to learn more about the rest of the Marvel Universe and soon I found myself collecting many more Marvel titles. This limited my capability to amass as many collectibles I wanted and to narrow my focus to the comic books. I currently have 5 filing cabinets full of comics books. I lost count of them many years ago, but thousands I'm sure. I have them organized in two ways. If they are a on-going series they are in alphabetical order and my mini-series are ordered in the year and month they came out. I have complete series of every Spider-Man comic and have begun my own "Chasing Amazing" to secure for myself every issue of that vintage series. I mainly collect Marvel comics, but I do branch out here and there such as my recent acquisition of the Fables Deluxe Hardcovers.

The other part of my collection is my Joss Whedon stuff, most noticeable Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I have a affection for all things Whedon. The first Buffy episode I watched was "Prophecy Girl" and I was a fan ever since. Two decades later and this is one of the best (if not the best) show ever produced. This show had the best ensemble of any show, the underlying themes of every episode, genre-mashing at it's finest, the character development, and the writing is just superb. Just like Spider-Man I found myself able to relate to the characters and situations of the show.

I'm also a huge San Francisco Giants and I love that I have a print from their comic night in 2014 by Humberto Ramos (my favorite Spidey artist behind Romita Jr.) with Stan Lee and several noticeable players.

I hope you enjoyed checking out my collection!
