Noelle Stevenson, creator of Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, has invited her wife, Molly Ostertag, to a special event known as a Grom.Ostertag, a writer on the Disney Channel's The Owl House, shared the invitation on Twitter with an image of the corsage and the "Will you go to Grom with me" card that her wife had given her. "WHY IS MY WIFE THIS WAY?" Ostertag asked, suggesting the invitation had left her quite emotional by ending the question with a crying emoji.RELATED: She-Ra Boss Shares Her Pitch That Was Rejected for Being Too Disturbing

Stevenson retweeted Ostertag's image, explaining how her order had confused the florist. In fact, the shop called her after "to make sure [she] had spelled it right."

Grom is a word sometimes used for "gay prom", but it also refers to a recent episode of The Owl House, "Enchanting Grom Fright", in which one female character reveals her romantic feelings toward another.

Ostertag accepted the invitation and even shared their Grom experience with her followers. The images showed Ostertag and Stevenson wearing their best outfits, Stevenson in a white blouse and black pants and Ostertag in a floral suit and crop top. Both wore pink corsages in their lapels. They took pictures individually and with each other, the last of which featured Ostertag kneeling and Stevenson giving off her best dab.

The couple didn't just dress up and take photos. They also made macabre-looking cupcakes that had candy eyes, chocolate knives and the word "GROM" spelled in red icing. "LISTEN any excuse to have a lil fun in quarantine is a good excuse," Ostertag captioned the pictures of their creation.

Noelle Stevenson is known for creating, running and producing the Netflix original, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Molly Ostertag has worked as a designer on Star vs. the Forces of Evil and is currently a writer on Disney's The Owl House. The two were wed in 2019.
