WARNING: The following contains spoilers for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Season 5, now streaming on Netflix.

When Adora destroyed the Sword of Power in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Season 4, it seemed her superpowered warrior form was destroyed along with it. However, in Season 5, Adora learns to summon the power of She-Ra from within herself using the power of her emotions and her love for her friends.

Togetherness is a major theme throughout She-Ra, but the final season really drives home its importance. For Adora, that means recognizing that she can't do everything alone and that sometimes, even if she thinks she has to, it's actually better to accept help from the people who love her.

Her new She-Ra suit reflects that, as pointed out by Twitter user @glimbow: It features recognizable elements from the most important people in her life, which can be seen during the Magical Girl Transformation sequences. Showrunner Noelle Stevenson also confirmed these aspects of the costume in an interview with CBR.

Adora

Adora maintains her new ponytail in her She-Ra transformation

In her Season 5 She-Ra transformations, Adora's hair no longer flows the way it did for past incarnations of the epic warrior. Her hair still gets longer, but it remains in a ponytail with the tell-tale bump at the front -- which is Adora's signature look.

This is not only more practical for battle, because it keeps her hair out of her face, but it proves that She-Ra no longer controls Adora; their relationship has become symbiotic as Adora pulls the power from within herself, rather than from the Sword of Power.

Catra

Adora's new She-Ra headpiece resembles Catra's

Since She-Ra and the Princesses of Power debuted in 2018, Stevenson, the cast and crew have repeatedly said that the heart's blood of the series is the relationship between Adora and Catra. Their connection is represented in Adora's new Season 5 She-Ra suit. Her new headdress combines the She-Ra crown with the mask Catra wore for the first four seasons, in a unique marriage of the two styles.

Bow

Adora's new She-Ra suit boasts a chest heart similar to Bow's

Bow wears his heart on his chest -- literally -- and now, so does Adora when she transforms into She-Ra. Her new suit features a small heart at the collar, which is reminiscent of the one on her friend's outfit.

Glimmer

Adora's new She-Ra suit features wings on her shoes that are similar to Glimmer's

Although the wings on She-Ra's new boots don't stick around after the magic transforms Adora, they clearly represent Glimmer. In fact, the fact that they aren't visible outside of the transformation sequence even makes some kind of sense. As Glimmer has adjusted to being the new queen of Bright Moon and grappled with the loss of her mother, she and Adora have butted heads more than once -- but ultimately, Glimmer has always lifted Adora up, both literally and metaphorically.

In her new She-Ra suit, Adora wears elements of all four members of the Best Friend Squad, including herself. The redesign is truly stunning and reflects her growth and maturation throughout the series -- especially because it demonstrates how she gets her power from her friends and herself, even when darkness seems like it will prevail.
